Nemaha NRD Staff & Directors Attend 2024 Legislative Conference

Nemaha Natural Resources Districts (NRD) staff and directors attended the Nebraska Association of Resources Districts (NARD) Legislative Conference January 23rd through 24th in Lincoln, Nebraska. The conference drew a diverse group of participants from across the State with the common focus of Natural Resource Management and Stewardship. Attendees engaged in various breakout sessions relevant to the work of Nebraska’s NRDs, offering valuable opportunities for discussions and networking.

“It is always good to see how everyone can come together and have a common goal” said Nemaha NRD general manager, Kyle Hauschild. “The NRD spans the state, and so many people put their heads together to come up with ideas for the greater good of everyone.”

Furthermore, the conference provides a platform for NRDs to not only review and discuss proposed legislative initiatives, but to actively contribute to shaping these policies. This process directly aligns with the fundamental principle that sets Nebraska’s NRDs apart, the commitment to locally led decision making.
